Stop Unwanted Calls from Debt Collectors

If you are receiving phone calls from debt collectors continuously and you are looking to find a way to stop it, contact the Consumer Advocacy Center so we can review your case. We will look at the details of your situation and find out if your Fair Debt Collection Practices Act rights have been violated in any way.

It would be helpful if you maintain a call log of all of the phone calls from a debt collector for us to review. You do have the right under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to send a letter to the debt collector in which you demand that they cease and desist any further communication with you. You are also able to send them a letter informing them that you refuse to pay the debt. In addition, we can assist you with:

  • Calls to friends and family members
  • Calls to your work after advising them that they should not contact you there
  • Harassment and abuse
  • Threats to prosecute you or send you to jail
  • Threats to take your home or property
  • Too many phone calls

Contact The Consumer Advocacy Center at 312-782-5808 and find out how we can help you.
